Jyunishi Comedy #117 Akito thinks back about how she'd really hated her mother who'd always been angry and looked at her coldly, and really loved her father who'd always been gentle and smiled. In the meantime, Tohru wakes in her room and realises that it's raining. Akito continues to reminisce about that time when she'd thought she was the "one" her father loved most. I want to return... to that day... As Tohru gets up, she realises that it's a holiday and that, in the end, she still hadn't managed to draw up her courage. Akito sits staring outside at the rain thinking back to when Akira died. Ren had come into the room and demanded to know why she hadn't been called, and that in the end, Akira ended up being all alone when he ended up going. The maid tells her that it had all happened too quickly that there'd been no time to call her. She goes on to explain that Akira hadn't been alone, that Akito had been with him and Akira's will had clearly been passed on to Akito. Ren: ... Ren goes on to yell how now that Akira was gone, Akito (the toy) was no longer wanted nor needed. Akito: Wrong... Ren, getting angry at Akito's words, mocks the bond and eternity as dreams Akito holds in her heart and that such a thing wouldn't last long. And when that happened, Akito would realise that nobody had been waiting for someone like her. Kureno enters Akito's room and finds she's already up. As he tells her that he wants to talk to her and that she needs to listen, Akito comments how she'd been really happy when she'd met Yuki. Surprised, Kureno listens as Akito explains that, at that time, she'd still been able to show off the bond in front of Ren. And how despite, being hurt by Ren's hatefulness, Shigure had still been kind like her father had been. [Where Akito remembers when Yuki moved out to Shigure's and Ren came to gloat how after Shigure, now the rat had come to abandon Akito. Akito however denies that anyone had abandoned her and that they couldn't be separated because of the "bond". Ren, sick of hearing the same words over and over then challenges Akito prove that the 12shi, after living and being part of the "outside" world, wouldn't come to be attracted to something out there and would instead return to Akito's side. Ren: Prove it, that no one will break your dream Akito thinks of how she'd believed she could win the bet, even when Shigure approached her seeking permission to have Kyo and another person live at his place. She thinks of how she'd believed that no one could destroy things... but Akito denies that she'd believed it, realising that it'd been more like praying for a wish. She'd constantly said it like a curse, as though she'd die if she didn't say it. Akito: But, it's no use Ren, carrying a knife, bursts into Akito's room. Apparently, when she woke up that morning, everything had been so clear to her, and she should have done this from the very beginning. Ren: Give Akira-san back... Akito thinks of how she didn't want to lose to that woman, and how she'd wanted to prove things to her. Akito then throws the box at Ren yelling that if she wanted it that much, she'd give it to her. Akira: Don't worry Ren grabs the box, opening and looks inside as Akito remembers when the maid gave her the box. The woman tells Akito that that woman (Ren) needed to realise more how important Akito was to the Sohma's as the one who brought the spirits together, and that that was the task that Akira had passed on to her as the one he loved most. She goes on to explain how, as the one who held the box, Akira was hers alone and she reminds Akito of Akira's words that he'd always be with her. Akito: ...? Ren stares shocked at the empty box commenting shocked that it was empty. Akito confirms that it's empty, and tells her that it was like that from the very beginning. Akito: From the beginning...
